Privacy notice.
How Klipfold collects, uses and protects personal information, including information about creators we research, and the rights you have over it. Last updated 19 September 2026.
Who we are
Klipfold ("we", "us") is a creator-sourcing service run by Dylan Davison, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. Contact us about anything in it at dylan@klipfold.com.
What we collect and why
When you request a shortlist or contact us
We collect your name, your work email address, details of your game or brand, where your players are, a rough budget and anything else you choose to tell us. We use this to reply, build a shortlist and, if you go ahead, run outreach on your behalf. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, once you engage us, the performance of our contract with you.
Creators we research and contact
To build shortlists we collect publicly available information about content creators: channel or profile names, audience size, engagement and recent activity, and, where a creator is approved for outreach, the contact details they publish. We use this only to assess fit and, with the client's approval, to contact the creator about a sponsorship. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest. Creators can ask us to stop contacting them or to delete what we hold at any time by emailing dylan@klipfold.com.
When you visit this website
We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site and we do not set cookies of our own. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and to keep the site running. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends a request (including your IP address) to Google when a page loads.
Third parties we use
- Hostinger hosts this website and our email.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site.
Some providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards required under UK data protection law. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for marketing.
How long we keep it
Briefs and shortlists for campaigns that do not go ahead are deleted after twelve months. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for six years afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations. Creator research is kept while it is current and deleted when it is not.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to someone else, and you can object to our use of it where we rely on legitimate interests. Email dylan@klipfold.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
